This holiday was one of the best holidays I think I have ever had (sorry you missed it Phil!) and I just wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to dive. Right from our very first discover session you’ve made me feel at ease during the pool sessions and in open water at stoney and then in Egypt as well.
So once again THANK YOU both of you and everyone else at the tribe who as helped us.
Roll on the next dive trip.

“I have just completed an EFR course with Gemma Wright, my third, and I would recommend both the course and Gemma unreservedly whether you are a diver or not. I think everyone would benefit from learning the basics of first aid even though we all hope we would never have to use them, and it is certainly well worth both the time and the fee. The course materials are clear and helpful and despite the serious nature of the content it was enjoyable and the scenarios covered and supplementary advice given were both helpful, and reinforced the core learning. If you are interested or need to complete this course give Gemma a call, she teaches the subject very well”

"I started diving with the Tribe in 2009 as a “try Dive” at my gym. It was always something I wanted to try but never really got around to it.
Right from the outset their approach was personable, professional, safe but above all FUN. Following a few more try dives I was totally hooked on diving. I have now completed 8 different courses with the Tribe and am half way through the next one.
Their friendly but professional approach made learning enjoyable and the other members of the club were very welcoming and were always ready to offer encouragement and answer any questions. In addition to this I have just returned from my first holiday with the Tribe to Marsa Shagra. The location was great with an unlimited diving ethos. Phil, Gemma and David (tribe instructors) were on hand to offer advice, courses or answer questions from why are underwater photographs all white to what trips should book.
I would recommend diving with the Tribe to anyone that is looking for a friendly club where safety and fun go hand in hand."

Marsa Shagra June 2010
WOW - WHAT A WEEK!
"My First dive trip abroad and thankfully it was to Marsa Shagra, Egypt, with 'The Tribe', where everything was perfection from start to finish.
Obviously, I have no other experience to compare it with - but now I shall measure everywhere else to this fantastic dive trip where, it seemed to me, everything was organized and arranged to make the whole experience a complete joy.
My log book comment fot the first 'orientation' dive read ''Oh-my-God'' I tried to list everything i'd seen, but ran out of page (and knowledge of fish names!) However, over the next few days, many exciting and beautiful creatures were listed on those pages along with memorable moments like the giant turtle dive-bombing Phil's head and bucking bronko style ride int the speed boat to Elphinstone and the sheer jaw-dropping awsomeness of that fabulous reef. The most beutiful place i've seen. (Even though I didn't get to see the hammer-heads or silkie sharks like some I could mention).
My mis-named 'hut' was a peaceful haven to catch 40 winks in-between dives and was DIVES clean and comfy with a view from the door i'll never forget.
The course dives commenced straight away and so early on the second morning was the first 'deep' dive following that evening by the first 'night' dive - surreal! Coming up from the last night dive - thrilled and contented standing mesmirized by the moon hanging in the black sky with the moonlight marking a glistening path on te surface of the water - absolutely magical and unforgettable....... what did you do last Saturday night?
So, by the end of the week I had two new specialties under my belt and now can't wait to start the rescue diver course. Phil and all the more experienced in the group were always there to buddy up, offering guidance, advice and support. What a fantastic group of people - a real privelage to meet and be a part of 'The Tribe'.
A joke telling session on the bean-bags with Gem means if my diving exploits fail to impress my friends back home, then getting to the end of the one about gervaise and the blind, green hairy lip sqid - certainly will!
So, thanks a million to Gem and Phil - please put my name down for next year. xXx MO"
