About Us

The Tribe Discover Scuba Limited was founded in 2002. It started with a simple unit in Nottingham, a van, six sets of scuba diving equipment, and 2 very keen instructors – Philip Elson and Gemma Wright.

 The Tribe now teach scuba diving across England, and have bases at all of the Center Parcs sites, and one in Nottingham which is used as a Head Office.

The Tribe approach the diving business in a different way to other diving organisations. We focus on teaching, not kit sales, or servicing. As a result we like to think that each of our customers receives individual service and the best care and advice that they can receive to make them a safe and proficient diver.

The Tribe was started by enthusiastic divers who wished to teach everyone to dive, in the safest and most enjoyable way possible. When someone dives with the Tribe, they become part of “The Tribe family”. We all look after each other.

We are now happy to announce that The Tribe has merged with The Scuba School.  Thius means that we now have Karen Wooff to help run our busy school.  It also means that we have now "inherited" a posse of excellent divers and club members from the Scuba School to make our diving even more fun.
